Welder Fabricator

We are looking for skilled Welders to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. A welder must be competent in using equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential. Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc.) Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work -orders, or verbal instructions
• Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and finished products.
• Work with fitters or fitters/welders to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts.
• Operate hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs.
• Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
• Familiar with a variety of welder concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Demonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environment.
• Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment to reach a common goal.
• Aluminum welding and heavy equipment manufacturing experience a plus.

Education: High School

• High School
• GED
• Professional Certificate

Experience: 18 months
